AK Tree Surgeons Journal is an independent online publication covering tree care, arboriculture, gardening and outdoor living in the UK. We set out to answer the questions homeowners actually ask: when to prune, whether a tree is safe, what the rules say and how to keep a garden looking good without fighting nature.
What we are – and what we are not
We are a publisher, not a contractor. We do not carry out tree work, provide quotes, take bookings or recommend paid services in exchange for payment. Where an article suggests calling a professional, it is because the job genuinely needs one.
Our editorial standards
- Accuracy first. We check advice against recognised horticultural and arboricultural guidance and update articles when that guidance changes.
- Safety over shortcuts. We will never encourage readers to climb, fell or use chainsaws beyond their competence.
- Plain English. Technical terms are explained, not used to impress.
- Clear sponsorship. Any sponsored or guest content is reviewed to the same standard and labelled where appropriate.
Contributors
Alongside our editorial team we publish guest articles from gardeners, growers, landscapers and outdoor living writers. If you would like to contribute, read our Write for us page.
